Once done with the game, all of the players count how many bugs they have caught of each kind. I have included a score sheet that gives the bugs different point values. There is also a score sheet with no point values so you can choose whether to have the kids just tally their bugs, or to add the challenge of adding up the point values.  I made three different styles of bases for the jars so that they would stand up. The first one is with strips of paper the width of an 8 ½ inch piece of paper. I laminated the 1 inch strips and stapled the ends to the bottom sides of the jar on each side so that they stuck out like a V. This made a stable base, but not sure how well it will hold up over time. All of the bases do best if they are double cardstock so that they are sturdy enough to hold all of the clothespins.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe next base I made is with wide popsicle sticks, which were more the size of tongue depressors. I put two together and a bead of hot glue along the bottom. Then when that was dry, I hot glued two more sticks, one on each side at a right angle. The jar slides between the two popsicle sticks and is held upright fairly securely. The last one I made used two clothespins with a popsicle stick hot glued to the bottom at a right angle. You then clip the clothespin onto the bottom of the jar. This one can not be moved around easily as the clothespins wiggle when it is picked up. To make the game, print out the number of jars that you need for the number of players that you will have, and laminate them. Make the jar base so that the jars can stand up. grids, one blank, one with letters, and one with words.  They all have a number on them as well.  The number you land on is how many bugs you get to add to the windshield of your car.  The blank grid is included in case you want to do your own thing, and don’t want letters in the way.  With the letters, I have kids either write the letter, or write a word that starts with that letter.  With the words, I have the kids write a sentence using the word.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThen I made a completely different game.  I made an oval race track that is the game board, and kids move their clothespin around the outside of the race track.  You could have each student have their own race track to move around, or they can all use the same one.  If you want to just move pieces around, you can do that too.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWith the race track, There is a number grid to send the cars down instead of using dice.  You race your car down the road and the number it lands on is the number of spaces that your clothespin car moves around the track.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe main race track is blank, and has cards that you draw to tell you what happens.  When  you get a bug splat, you draw the splat using dry erase crayon onto the black and white car windshield.  There are outlines of bugs on the windshields, and the kids need to color them.  When you lose a bug (to the car wash or the rain), they have to practice erasing the bug splat.  Cotton swabs (q-tips) work great to practice the erasing\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is my favorite part of the game simple letter matching race track with lower case letters on the track, and some small letter squares to match.  There is a parking strip too for the letter clothespins to park in.  This may make it
